  1. Maybe you can help me? I try to modify a simply text like in your tutorial. My inks. version is 0.48 but i only can choose one letter of my whole word...no change to work with "linked offset".

Inkscape only allows me to change one letter. Whats my line?

    1. select all the letters and try to group your word on menu Object->Group. Then linked offset of the group... Make sure all the letters are selected

Tip: after you define the linked offset, select it and go to Path->Obejct to Path. this ill transforme your offset in a Path, then u can change the aspect of it more easely
